The world is changing rapidly, it is undeniable. Events are unfolding that are having immeasurable impact on how society operates and how we view the sustainability of our planet. As a result, investors have started considering how they can best direct their investments to grow their wealth while also supporting businesses and outcomes that align with their values. He will also provide some education on how investors can potentially improve the way they use ETFs by understanding their mechanics and potentially optimizing their usage during periods of extreme market volatility.

Covid-19 has depressed global economic projections for 2020, dragging Canada down with it. Real GDP is forecast to fall 5.0%, according to Action Economics, which is similar to the decline expected for the U.S. Like the rest of the world, however, economists anticipate a turnaround in 2021 on the order of 5.0%. Despite paralleling the U.S. economic undulations, the S&P/TSX 60's rolling 5-year relative strength hugs the minus-1 standard deviation level, as it has since 2013. Engaging in today's markets requires a completely new approach and discipline, especially when trading in the options markets. Volatility is the new norm and it here to stay. In the new economic age ushered in by Covid-19, central banks around the world have vastly expanded monetary activism far beyond anything seen before. The U.S. Federal Reserve has expanded their balance sheet by nearly $4 trillion in just a few months, and as far as anyone can tell, there is no end in sight. In the words of Fed chairman Jerome Powell, the Fed isn't even thinking about when it will think about raising interest rates above zero. But central bank activism may soon be moving in very new directions. To deal with tens of millions of newly unemployed workers and the reality that entire commercial sectors are no longer viable, the banks are currently looking at ways to put newly created money directly into the hands of consumers. Against a backdrop of a weak economy, this a clear recipe for stagflation. Peter Schiff will explain how investors can prepare for this new normal.

And although these actions are seen by some as a stabilizing force today, they will come at a high cost tomorrow. In Omar Ayales' presentation, he'll review how different markets have reacted to the pandemic, global lockdowns, and the unfolding after-math. He will take you thru a chart-walk around the world, review price movement in key markets, and their relationship to one another. They hold the key to what lies ahead, stay tuned!
