This session will review the views on 2026 posed around New Year's and give a review of what has transpired thus far. Famously, Abby Cohen, chief investment strategist at Goldman Sachs, predicted 2008 to be a “mirror image of 2007” with the S&P500 rising by 14.5% by the end of the year. That didn’t happen — the S&P500 was down 38% (the worst drop since 1937). Mid-2026 probably will not be as world-shaking as mid-2008…and we will be there to talk about it during these 30 minutes.
