Jon Hilsenrath writes about economics and finance and was twice voted among the nation’s most influential financial journalists. A 26-year veteran of the Wall Street Journal, he was a Pulitzer finalist in 2014 for his coverage of the Federal Reserve, part of a team of WSJ Pulitzer finalists in 2009 for coverage of the global financial crisis, and an on-the-ground reporter in lower Manhattan on September 11, 2001, helping the WSJ win a Pulitzer in 2002. He is the author of Yellen: The Trailblazing Economist Who Navigated an Era of Upheaval, a history of economics and a biography of treasury secretary and former federal chairwoman, Janet Yellen.
